Yoga for Runners Workshop

Yoga for Runners Workshop
Sunday, February 27th, 4:30pm-6:00pm
Physikos Movement
Located at Village Gate: 302 North Goodman E-201 Rochester, NY 14607

Workshop will cover
·        Techniques to increase flexibility in areas that are especially tight for runners (hip flexors, hamstrings, quads, etc.)
·        Poses to build core strength, promoting spinal alignment
·        Approaches to improve form, elongate stride, increase pace and reduce muscle fatigue/ lactic acid build-up
·        Meditation/ relaxation techniques to increase awareness of breath, to assist in recovery and make training more pleasant

Presented by
Nora Doebrich; Certified Yoga Instructor and Running Enthusiast
·        Qualified for the NY State Cross-Country High School Finals
·        Competed collegiately at the Division I level and was top ranked for the 10k, within the America East Conference
·        Completed several marathons, including; Boston, Rochester and Buffalo, placing within overall female and age group standings.
·        Actively training for the 2011 Boston Marathon
